AI Disclaimer & AI Use Policy
Effective 21 August 2026 · Last updated 22 August 2026
We want you to know exactly what the AI does, what it does not do, and where you should apply your own judgement.
This page explains how JobMatch Ireland operates. It is written in plain English for our customers and does not constitute legal advice. It is not a certification of compliance by any authority.
What the AI actually does
JobMatch uses AI-assisted technology to analyse your CV against a job description and provide career-related suggestions. AI-generated results are provided for informational and career-support purposes and should be reviewed by you before use.
- We extract the text from the CV file you upload (PDF, DOCX or legacy DOC).
- That CV text and the job description you paste are sent to our AI provider for analysis.
- The model returns a structured result: a match score from 0 to 100, matching skills, missing or weak keywords, experience gaps, CV improvement suggestions, a draft cover letter and practice interview questions with suggested answers.
- We run an automated quality check that removes placeholder text and flags statements the CV does not support, so the report does not invent qualifications you never claimed.
- Your account identifiers, payment details and the original file itself are not sent to the AI provider — only the extracted text needed for the analysis.
What the match score means
The score is an indicative comparison between the wording of your CV and the wording of one job description. It is not an objective measure of your ability, your experience or your employability, it is not a ranking against other candidates, and a low score does not mean you should not apply.
Limitations
- AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Always read it critically.
- Text extraction from unusual layouts, scanned images or heavily designed CVs can miss content.
- Draft cover letters and interview answers are starting points to edit in your own words — they are not statements of fact about you, and you should check every claim before sending anything to an employer.
- The analysis is not professional legal, immigration, financial, medical or employment-law advice.
- You remain responsible for what you send to employers and for any decision you make using our suggestions.
No guarantees
We do not guarantee any of the following:
- Employment
- Interviews
- Job offers
- Salary increases
- Application success
No automated decisions about you
JobMatch Ireland does not make employment decisions, does not decide whether you are hired or shortlisted, and does not share your analysis with employers or recruiters. The analysis is generated for you, shown only to you, and has no legal or similarly significant effect on you within the meaning of GDPR Article 22. We are not an employer, recruiter or recruitment agency.
Fairness and sensitive information
Our analysis is designed to compare skills, experience, qualifications and keywords. It is instructed not to base suggestions on race or ethnicity, religion or belief, political opinion, sexual orientation, gender identity, health or disability, genetic or biometric data, trade union membership, family status, membership of the Traveller community, or any other protected characteristic — and not to infer any of them from your CV.
If your CV happens to contain that kind of information, we do not use it for scoring or recommendations. Practise data minimisation where you can: there is no need to include a photograph, date of birth, PPS number, marital status or health details in a CV for the Irish market.
We do not train models on your CV
Your CVs and analyses are not used to train AI models. If we ever intend to do that, we will disclose it, establish a lawful basis and ask for your consent where consent is required, before any such use begins.
