Cancellation & Refund Policy

Effective 21 August 2026 · Last updated 22 August 2026

How subscriptions renew, how to stop them, and what happens when something goes wrong with a payment or an analysis.

This page explains how JobMatch Ireland operates. It is written in plain English for our customers and does not constitute legal advice. It is not a certification of compliance by any authority.

How our subscriptions work

  • Paid plans are recurring: the Monthly plan renews every month and the Annual plan renews every year, using the card you gave to Stripe, until you cancel.
  • Customer prices shown on the pricing page include Irish VAT where VAT applies.
  • Your account always shows your current plan, the analyses remaining and the next renewal date.

Cancelling

  • Cancel any time in Account → Plan, using the billing portal. No phone call or email is required.
  • Cancellation stops future renewals. It takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for — you keep your plan and remaining analyses until that date.
  • After that date your account moves to the Free plan. Your CVs and past analysis reports stay in your account; they are not deleted by cancelling.
  • If you want your data removed as well, use Account → Privacy & data → Delete my account.

Your 14-day right of withdrawal (EU/Ireland)

As a consumer buying a digital service online you normally have 14 days to withdraw. Our service is supplied immediately so you can run an analysis straight away. At checkout you are asked to confirm that you want the service to start immediately and that you acknowledge you lose the 14-day withdrawal right once the service has been fully performed.

  • If you have not used any paid analysis, contact us within 14 days of purchase and we will cancel and refund the payment in full.
  • If you have used part of your allowance, we may make a proportionate deduction for what you have used.
  • We do not ask you to waive rights you cannot lawfully waive.

Refunds in specific situations

  • Failed analysis: if the AI fails before producing a result, the credit is returned to your balance automatically. If that does not happen, contact us and we will correct it.
  • Service fault: if a fault on our side stops you using what you paid for and we cannot fix it in a reasonable time, you can ask for a repair, a replacement period or a refund.
  • Duplicate payment: charged twice for the same period? Tell us and we refund the duplicate in full.
  • Accidental purchase: tell us promptly and, where you have not used the allowance, we will cancel and refund.
  • Change of mind after use: we are not obliged to refund an allowance you have already used, but tell us what happened and we will look at it fairly.

We make no unconditional "no questions asked" refund promise, and we do not promise any result from using the service. What we do promise is to apply this policy consistently and to honour your statutory rights.

How to ask for a refund

Email support@jobmatchireland.ie or use the support form with the category "Refund/Cancellation". Include the email on your account and the approximate date of payment — never your card number. We aim to respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe; your bank may take a few working days to show it.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy or in our terms removes or limits your rights under Irish and EU consumer law. If you are not happy with how we handle a complaint, you can contact the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (Ireland) or use the European Consumer Centre network.
